LICS Ice cream was founded in 1993 by Cliff Mossey. Back then, they only served factory-produced ice cream. But in 2013, the Lics staff started producing their own ice cream in-house. They now offer 55 homemade hard ice cream and gelato flavors in addition to soft serve.
Some of their unique flavors include brown sugar banana, peanut butter cookie dough and caramel, Boston cream doughnut, strawberry cheesecake, and hazelnut Nutella. Cliff’s favorite right now is lemon blueberry.
Several music videos had scenes filmed at the shop over the years. And LICS recently created a “gender reveal” ice cream cake. The parents who ordered it had their daughter eat through the ice cream until appropriately colored ices inside were revealed.
LICS is actually an acronym that stands for “Little Ice Cream Store.”
